RaceTeam - You did it!
RaceTeam epic 2017 done.
Done and dusted! It was a challenging day out there and the weather is the one thing you can't control! You faced it with determination and did it. After 10 weeks of preparation you took this challenge head on, worked through each session, each week, overcame mental challenges as well as the physical challenge.
You have worked together towards your own goals and should be really proud of yourselves. We hope you enjoyed your RaceTeam Epic experience ;o)
Rest, Recover, Reset
Often after a goal is reached like this we come down from the "post race high" and can feel a little flat. This is normal!
Make sure you give yourself a week of recovery but don't leave it too long after that to get back into a running routine. While you are out there enjoying some nice easy runs, think about what your next goal might be.
Reflect on the last 10 weeks - what did you do well? what would you improve on next time? Most importantly - be proud of yourself. You have dedicated the last 10 weeks to this, you have given so much time and energy into training and so enjoy what you have achieved - we are very very proud of every single one of you.

RaceTeam Queenstown 2017
RaceTeam Queenstown 2017 gets underway the week beginning Monday 11 September and we are training for the Queenstown Half Marathon which is on 18 November 2017. This is our final RaceTeam for 2017.
RaceTeam registrations are open now but earlybird closes this coming Monday - but as you are part of the Extra Mile Runners team we want to offer you the earlybird rate up until Thursday 7 September. To register, use the links below:

This race is a great way to finish your running season before Christmas - it is a fantastic weekend away and an awesome event.
To keep in the loop with the group and get 1 group session in a week, Saturday Runners is a good option. Saturday Runners is our regular Saturday morning group run. You can buy 5 or 10 sessions and come when you can! All the details are here: Saturday Runners
