'I’m not a runner, never believed in running unless you are being chased and even then everything is negotiable! I signed up not believing I would really “get up to 5km” and this Saturday I will! The programme is awesome no matter how slow you are, everyone starts and finishes at the same time.
7 weeks ago I didn’t think I could run for 30secs and last night I ran for 25mins straight. Follow the programme, listen to the coaches and getting there is achievable. '

'I have never run anywhere in my life and at 54 I thought “I couldn’t”, now I cant believe how far I and how long I can run in just 8 weeks, just by sticking to the programme. After initial trepidation, I have loved my group, the coaches are amazing and just getting outside and doing it has been enormously rewarding. The programmes are really do-able, when I did get slightly injured I was able to adjust and still get back up to the level I had been working at. I loved getting out to all the different meeting points on Saturday - anyone can do this!'

While appearing daunting at the beginning the programme gently takes you through in easy progressions to make it seem not so scary!
